Hey, What's Going On?

No  doubt this is what Joseph was thinking as his own brother threw him into the pit. " I am the  one who has the vision from God... I have a promise...God showed  me things", he said to himself while thinking.. " this should not be happening to me!" The Apostle Peter sheds some light on this when he tells us not to think it strange concerning fiery trials that might come our way. Joseph is a good example of the spiritual thruth that faith must be tried and it will be tested. That is the nature of faith. Yet, Joseph also reveals anither, and perhaps even greater truth. God can take what Satan or people do for evil, and turn it around for good. Hate and jealousy threw Joseph into the pit, but God savedhim from deathand put him in a caravan to Egypt. Lies tossed Joseph into proson, but God made him a trustee. When the butler forgot Joseph, God never forgot him. God was saving Joseph for the right moment. That time came when Pharoah called for Joseph and elevated him to a position of power. From this position he was able to save his family from death. In saving his family, Joseph preserved the nation of Isreal.

We may not always be able to figure everything out. Yet we can always keep our faith in God. There are things that are out of our control, but when we trust God, you can never tell what God will do. He can take what we commit to Him and turn things around to bring good out of difficulty. Our adversity is opportinity gor God! He can take us through. He will give us a greater revelation of Himself. And He will show us His power. The devil or the situation cannot separate us from God. He is the vine and we are the branches. We are connected to Him! Where does the vine end and the branch begin? This means we are part of Him and He is part of us! There is nothing standing between you and God.

When we wonder, " Hey, what's going on here? We just need to have confidence that God is part of it all. No matter what the devil or others may try to do for evil, God has experience in turning things around to bring good... just ask Joseph what God can do. And like the old song says, " What He's done for others He will do for you ".
